‘The Daily g’

Bodies rotating with the earth are accelerated in the reference frame of the sun. This acceleration induces a gravitational strain into the body. This painting illustrates how the magnitude of gravitational strain induced into a body between noon and midnight happens to coincide with the energy value released by adenosine triphosphate (ATP) when it undergoes hydrolysis. The painting further illustrates how the total gravitational strain induced into a body also happens roughly coincide with the minimum amount of energy needed by the body to maintain its
metabolic order – the basal metabolic rate (BMR).
